On Thursday December 17th, the band and I played at Lee's Palace with Coleman Hell and Ria Mae as part of 102.1 The Edge Jingle Bell Concert Series. It was our first live show in quite some time, as I've been away doing some writing in LA. It was an amazing feeling to reconnect with my bandmates Michelle, Dan, Mike and Gary. We got to play some of my favourite, soon-to-be-released songs, including: Bodytalk, Falling Up, and Lie to Me. Another highlight was our cover of the Eurhythmics' Here Comes The Rain Again, featuring Michelle on some pretty epic violin solos.
Thank to everyone who came out to the show! It was sold out, line up around the building, and the energy from the crowd was so warm and interactive... such an incredible feeling to be back onstage in my hometown, Toronto.
Also, want to say thank you to Lindsay Bell for styling me in this unreal chain fringe jacket from Topshop, and to Anna Barseghian and Diana Gaweda from Brennen Demelo Studio for whipping my hair back into shape... it really needed it after all the California sun!
